Handmade Philly’s Ruth Schanbacher, Anna Cherniahivsky and Jon Vitale shared their secrets to making a Classic Robot Costume with Grid Magazine. Hooray! According to our crafters, “This costume can be made almost exclusively using things from around the house.” All you need: boxes, pair of gloves, paint & brushes, glue, pencil, utility/x-acto knife and any other flashy embellishments. Check out their article in the magazine’s online issue and let the Robot Costume madness begin.

And if you’re looking to celebrate this crafty featured piece, mark your calendars for Grid Magazine’s October Issue Release Party on October 12th at Monk’s Café from 5-7pm. Want to show some Handmade Philly love? Then head over to the party in the Robot Costume.
