Empowerment Group hosts a monthly Women Entrepreneurs’ Circle at women-owned businesses throughout Philadelphia. The events bring attention to women in business and provide a forum for the owners to share their experiences—the good and the bad. Our attendees not only learn business tips, but develop supportive connections and grow mentoring relationships. We are currently seeking sites for our 2010 series and would love to host with a Circle with a Handmade Philly member. As a host, you will be asked to share your small business story and answer Q&A from attendees. Generally, a Circle host also offers an interactive session directly related to the business. Past examples include tea tastings, cake decorating demonstrations, dance lessons, yoga sessions, etc. Empowerment Group will coordinate and promote the event with the hope of showcasing you, your business, and the services you offer. The events usually take place on Saturdays at the owner’s place of business—we would like to host the event on June 26th or July 31st. If you don’t have a brick and mortar site, we could host the workshop at a complementary location. Contact Lindsay at : firstname.lastname@example.org
Empowerment Group would like to showcase Handmade Philly members on their blog: http://blog.empowerment-group.org/. We would conduct a short video interview at your place of business/studio/home office and post it on the blog as an “Entrepreneur Profile”. Contact Lindsay at email@example.com
