Zine Making Workshop with Katie Haegele

This Saturday! Join us for a Handmade Philly workshop led by Katie Haegele. Location: Tulpehocken Exchange, in Germantown. Tix are $20, sliding scale (pay what you can).

Katie Haegele is a writer, zine maker, and book critic who lives in Philadelphia. She is the author of the memoir White Elephants, and the essay collection Slip of the Tongue: Talking About Language. Her written works have been published in Utne, Bitch, Adbusters, The Comics Journal, Philadelphia Magazine, The Believer Logger, and elsewhere.
Light refreshments will be served.

Watercolor Holiday Card Workshop: This Saturday!

This Saturday from noon to 2 pm! Watercolor Holiday Card making workshop, led by Kirsten Ashley.
$20 suggested, sliding scale available. Ages 12+.

Stitch n’ Bitch: This Wednesday

We are hosting our first Stitch n’ Bitch tomorrow night (Wednesday) at the Tulpehocken Exchange. So if you knit, crochet, embroider, sew or weave…come on out and join us! Other arts and crafts are welcome as well…bring a work in progress, or start something new at the studio!

This Wednesday night from 7-9 pm. $5 to attend, free for Tulpehocken Exchange members.

Handmade Philly Watercolor Holiday Card Making Workshop

Learn basic watercolor techniques to create beautiful one of a kind holiday cards! We will be learning how to use salt to make snow and various other techniques. Leave with a take-home card to gift to a loved one.

This event is open to ages 12+. It goes from 12 -2 PM. Please be prompt in order not to miss any instruction! RSVP by emailing info@handmadephilly.com. The cost to attend is $20 per person. It is held at the new studio space for Handmade Philly at 47 E High Street in Germantown, Philadelphia.
