Do you like to write letters the old-fashioned way? If so, join us for Letter Writing Club, a casual hang-out at Tulpehocken Exchange. We’ll provide the cards and writing paper (and snacks). Come write letters to your old friends – and maybe meet someone new.

Stitch n Bitch

Join us every Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm. Bring a work in progress or start something new while at the studio. Knit, crochet, embroidery, weaving or sewing. Other art media is welcome as well. Beginners are welcome, we’ll help you get started on a project.

Light refreshments will be served (wine, cheese, hot tea + cookies). Please be sure to keep RSVP status accurate as space is limited. Ages 12+.

Directions: 2nd side door, on the right. You’ll see a security box: type 00002… for entry.

We have supplies available, for donation.

$7/ per person, sliding scale (pay what you can). Free on street parking is available. Location is 1/2 a block from the 23 bus. Located 2 blocks from the Germantown train station, regional rail (Chestnut Hill East line).

Portrait Party

We are hosting a portrait party.

What is a portrait party? So glad you asked…It’s an event with socializing and art. It’s a super-relaxed space for artists of all skill levels to come together and create portraits of each other. Bring a friend or come on your own. We will provide light refreshments.

Participants will gather in small groups, and each person will take a turn sitting for their group.

Make a Zine Day

Katie Haegele and Joe Carlough lead this zine making workshop at Tulpehocken Exchange. This is Part II of a three part series. Classes will take place monthly, on the third Sunday of each month. Take one class or take all three, it’s up to you!

Next date/ Time: Sunday, March 18th from 1 pm – 4 pm.

Location: 47 East High Street, Philadelphia (in Germantown).

Price: $15/ online, $20 the day of the event (Supplies are included.)

Sunday, March 25th from 10 – 12:30 pm

Crochet Basics

Come out this spring and learn to crochet.

In a series of 3 classes you can learn how to chain, single and double crochet, work in the round and how to read a pattern. Come create simple crafts and have fun at the same time. Sign up for one class, or sign up for all three.
Locations vary:
On Sunday, March 25 and Sunday April 8, 10-12:30 class takes place at the Tulpehocken Exchange (47 East High Street, Phila.)
On Sunday, April 22 class takes place at beautiful Awbury Arboretum’s Agricultural Village, on Washington Lane from 3 – 5:00 pm.
Suggested materials: a J or K size crochet hook and some cotton yarn.
Price:
$20 per class, bring your own supplies.
$30 per class/ all supplies included.

Sunday, March 25th from 1 – 4 pm

Think Ink

Join us as Dre Grigoropol leads this inking workshop at Tulpehocken Exchange. Experiment with permanent ink and learn techniques on how to ink your drawings like the professionals. Students are encouraged to bring pencils drawings that were done previously to ink during the workshops. Or you can pencil in a new drawing at the event.

Dre Grigoropol is an Illustrator, Caricaturist, Cartoonist and the founder of Dretime.

Price: $15/ online, $20 the day of the event … Supplies included.

This class is for Ages 12+.
